Moore's Law

What is it?

Gordon Moore, co-founder of Intel, made the proposal which originated the Moore’s Law:

$\text{The number of transistors in integrated circuits doubles every two years.}$

Moore’s prediction has been held (partially) true since 1975, and has been considered a law because of it.
